Artist's Comments

Wild life is present even in your own home by the city, they are everywhere and most of the times are just by the roof tops relaxing & chirping away.

Taken using my uncles Nikkor 75-300mm on an Olympus E-520 via Nikkon to 4/3 adapter, I was able to successfully capture a maya bird in its chirping moment.

Minor PP, slight tweak with both the contrast and sharpening + some noise reduction (iso 800 because light levels were low during the shot & more speed was needed to freeze the maya in motion).

Btw for those interested, a wild life contest is now open by:

Why thank you, I was very fortunate to come across this beautiful bird.

I failed to capture the humming bird when I was photographing that day and somehow this beautiful Maya made my day, lucky break :w00t:

Very nice! What lens did you use for this shot as I see the focal length is f1.0 so I am guessing it was something old

Why thank you very much! I happened to be at the right place at the right time & being patient in bird photo really helps ;)

I was using a nikkor 75-300mm lense on an Olympus E-520 and it was made possible thanks to a nikon to 4/3's adpater :w00t:
