In light of the modern times, I have decided to make another DA account for the sole purpose of an online porfolio which is more organized and dedicated for job hunting.

It took me a while to decide if I should make another account because of maintainance issues but so far I am enjoying the new one which can be found here :iconjcumagun: (^_^)

Deviations have already been posted on that new account; some of which are derived from this account while others I have not yet released in this account you are now reading :D

If you wish to add my new account to your friendslist, you are free to do so and I do not mind :w00t:

Btw, I chose not to use DA's new "Portfolio" option because the FREE version is more limited compared to making a new account and the PREMIUM version is out of the question because of financial reasons + I am not earning yet.

[I mean 18 deviations may only be loaded for the FREE version and I just find that more limiting than making a new account, not to mention no journals or fav's to put for more interest.] <----MY BAD! "MY EYES SAW 18 before" for no apparent reason, golly Im going cross eyed X_X

But, I wish to thank DA and their staff for still making an effort to make things more interactive here and for coming up with innovative ideas even though they cost $$$. Hey we all have to do something to make a living :w00t:

Anyway that is all I want to share and to all my friends here in DA, thank you very much for all the support and sharing of deviations! :highfive:

Hi everybody! I just want to make another update regarding what is happening in my life :D *Pardon if this is long, it has been a while since I wrote and update.

So far everything is going well and I am super happy that I finally found time for my own art, during school days I was just confined to working on plates (term for projects in the major of Fine Arts)and not to mention the year long thesis campaign required for attaining our Bachelors degree. Without the thesis, you can not graduate and it is a bummer :omg: :faint:

This summer has been a blast for me, finally time to make my own photographs and improve on them through various techniques as aided by softwares along side tutorials for them. Not too mentiontion the satisfaction and relief to see your works being hung on the walls of your own home.

Breaking barriers has been fun but it is very expensive too :omg: :omg: Indeed printing has improved significantly, the prices have been lowered to the point that you can now do 15x20 inch prints and up at a reasonable price! With digital technology getting better each day, we are all benefiting and it is a sign of relief because we are now all able to produce our personal works with more ease.

Personally I never expected that I would enjoy so much in photography that I have been addicted to printing in larger sizes, from 15x20 inches to 24x36 inches just for fun :D It has been expensive on my part but it is also very rewarding; not to mention a humbling experience to learn & improve more. Hehe my next goal is a 30x40 inch and up prints :w00t:

Currently it has come to another cost on my part which is being jobless as of the present  I decided to take a break first because like I said, I wanted time for my own art and time to relax too :D

As for finding a job, I am still thinking on what I really want to do and that is one of the reasons I did not jump into working right away. Working with a travel magazine (Mabuhay Travel Magazine in the Philippines to be specific) as an outdoor photographer for travel is very high on my list, next is selling photographs online for stock agencies along side selling enlargements to the people around me for additional income.

Other dream jobs include: "Being a camera beta tester and doing a review of that specific product with a team" so as to give potential buyers and photo lovers a chance to see what that new product can really do, hehe Im a gearhead geek at times (O_O)

I have no intentions of really being a graphic designer or an advertising director, but they seem to look fun yet stressful

The last one on my list and I admit is uber tempting, is going to a call center for a job because here in Manila it is one of the fastest ways of earning income; ironic for a Fine Arts graduate to enter but I do not see any problems with it. I noticed that I am much better at "Speaking, Getting along with people, Photography and Writing" than I am to drawing or painting (I can do it in some degree but grrrrr, it is not what many would expect).

This last thing on my list I plan to do only as a side line for a few months because I need funds if I want to sell my works on prints (large scale prints + framing, not too mention upgrading camera gears) along side joining galleries so as to show case my works to others. It is not easy but at least it is better than not finding the funds to make my art grow, and like my mentors have always taught us; "Stick to Your Own Strengths, manage your resources wisely and enjoy!".

Well this is where I end my journal update, I would like to thank every one here for all the support and for teaching me a lot of wisdom in art through deviations and articles! :highfive:

Take care and God Bless!

Hi there everybody! Finally I found the time to post new works and well an updated journal because it has been a while! :w00t:

Anyway I just want to say that my thesis deliberation has come to pass and I am very much happy to say that I made it! All the nights of working late and researching has finally paid off, the great news is that my work has some where to go (exhibit in UST and in Tierra Maria Estates) and I will be marching soon for graduation :D

I can not believe how fast time flew, yesterday I was just a freshman and today I am facing my last few days of being a college senior :omg: Personally I do not really know what will happen once I graduate and which job I will enter, though I am exited for the new things I will encounter outside college life :w00t:

But first, here is the list I desired to achieve & thankfully have done so with "God's Powers" (although now, I let go of the angst that gave me the fuel to burn those negative powers):

1. To come up with a 100% original topic in photography thesis that has never been done by any one in our college (Fine Arts in UST) or has been attempted by the previous batches. And this topic is "Real Estate Photography".

2. To prove that even without a DSLR in the category of photography for thesis, you can make it and infact get a good mark! Infact, I aimed to be the first to do so!

3. To prove that there is still room for a different medium in promoting a Real Estate and that is through a coffee table book design approach which has long term value vs. a brochure, leaflet or flier.

4. To prove that not all proffessionals are correct in their first impressions and judgements! Im sorry to say but many are so closed minded people and this gave me the fuel to burn my desire of showing them that there is alaways room for improvement no matter the medium or situation. (Sorry for the angsty tone because this was gearned towards my aunt who always seem to criticize me & my uncle who is a formula user and does not want to use new ideas, if there is a will there is always a way).

5. To prove that our adviser, Sir. Torres is very wise and is really great at helping his students out not just in their thesis but also in their aspiring goal and that; those under him are NOT FAILURES! Our adviser had that negative reputation of having students who get low or failing marks on their thesis while being under him, well this year it's the opposite! :D

6. To have my work go somewhere because I simulated my thesis not just as a hypothesis but as a realistic project, it has been my desire to have my works exhbited and finally it came true because the company I shot for (Tierra Maria Estates) liked the photographs ^_^

Dear readers, those are the 6 goals I am proud to say I made yet I want to appologize for having the urge to do my work out of negative reasons such as: "To Prove" many things. Also, I want to thank God for being the one behind my success for I am nothing without his help because he was the one who whispered the brilliant ideas to me every night along side the one who painted the best weather for my shoot while keeping me safe from danger. Thanks so much Lord!:pray::pray:

Well thats all I want to report and before I go I want to also thank my good friends for always helping me out and most especially my sweet  :iconangstfool11: for helping me out not just in my thesis but also in my adversities in life.

It is true that behind every man there is a great woman :D Thanks my sweet  for being that great woman :glomp: :cuddle:

:D Anyways, thank you for reading and I hope you also "Fish the Big One" in not just your dreams or goals, but also the best things life has to offer :#1: Take Care and bye bye

After browsing through DA I noticed that time ran so fast, I cannot believe how long I have been away and well how my thesis has gone by like a breeze. It is still on going and as of now I am backing up my files because of the "HUMUNGUS" space my Raw images have occupied :o

Speaking of space, I was thinking if it is possible for "ZIGA BYTES" to even exist because as of now "Terra Bytes" have been claimed the next highest gigabyte storage capacity (1,000gig = 1 Terra Byte):omg: :omg: :omg: Talk about major space!!

Anyway I just want to report that everything in my life is going smoothly, my love life along side school life (Thesis :D) and family life is going uber well :w00t: A couple of bumps here and there but hey thats part of it though to be honest I really want to chill all the way

Well Take care everybody and hope to hear great news from you all soon!

Btw, I just finished fixing my files and as far as I am concerned, "Gigabytes" already pack a bite on our computer hahaha :XD:

What more when the rain of Terra Bytes ends and out of the ashes comes "Ziga Bytes"!!!! :faint: Hahahaha! Just thinking ;P

The Shedding

As summer comes to a raping end here in Manila, I find my self shedding once again for new lessons came by quickly which were very much stunning and at the same time inspiring. Through the shedding I came across the light of both inspiration and depression, two of which that define life its self. Like an endless wheel it tumbles, turning with unpredictable results which is both bitter sweet.

Anyway enough of the wheel of uncertainty and hello to a brand new start, school will be opening soon and I am exited to meet new friends along side doing my thesis for photography which is not east yet I am very much happy that I chose it according to my own will :w00t:

Well, take care everyone and hope to hear good news from you all :#1:

Better we celebrate positive things over negative ones, so lets shed those no good memories and begin a new :D
