So far everything is going well and I am super happy that I finally found time for my own art, during school days I was just confined to working on plates (term for projects in the major of Fine Arts)and not to mention the year long thesis campaign required for attaining our Bachelors degree. Without the thesis, you can not graduate and it is a bummer
This summer has been a blast for me, finally time to make my own photographs and improve on them through various techniques as aided by softwares along side tutorials for them. Not too mentiontion the satisfaction and relief to see your works being hung on the walls of your own home.
Breaking barriers has been fun but it is very expensive too
Personally I never expected that I would enjoy so much in photography that I have been addicted to printing in larger sizes, from 15x20 inches to 24x36 inches just for fun
Currently it has come to another cost on my part which is being jobless as of the present
As for finding a job, I am still thinking on what I really want to do and that is one of the reasons I did not jump into working right away. Working with a travel magazine (Mabuhay Travel Magazine in the Philippines to be specific) as an outdoor photographer for travel is very high on my list, next is selling photographs online for stock agencies along side selling enlargements to the people around me for additional income.
Other dream jobs include: "Being a camera beta tester and doing a review of that specific product with a team" so as to give potential buyers and photo lovers a chance to see what that new product can really do, hehe Im a gearhead geek at times (O_O)
I have no intentions of really being a graphic designer or an advertising director, but they seem to look fun yet stressful
The last one on my list and I admit is uber tempting, is going to a call center for a job because here in Manila it is one of the fastest ways of earning income; ironic for a Fine Arts graduate to enter but I do not see any problems with it. I noticed that I am much better at "Speaking, Getting along with people, Photography and Writing" than I am to drawing or painting (I can do it in some degree but grrrrr, it is not what many would expect).
This last thing on my list I plan to do only as a side line for a few months because I need funds if I want to sell my works on prints (large scale prints + framing, not too mention upgrading camera gears) along side joining galleries so as to show case my works to others. It is not easy but at least it is better than not finding the funds to make my art grow, and like my mentors have always taught us; "Stick to Your Own Strengths, manage your resources wisely and enjoy!".
Well this is where I end my journal update, I would like to thank every one here for all the support and for teaching me a lot of wisdom in art through deviations and articles!
Take care and God Bless!
